The Historic Canfield Casino is located in Congress Park, off Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Home to the Saratoga Springs History Museum which presents changing exhibitions, public programs, and serves hundreds of researchers annually. The museum's six exhibits of Saratoga History are located on three floors of a historic 1870s gambling casino, designated a National Historic Landmark.

Gansevoort is in Saratoga County, in the Albany metro area.
Moreau Lake State Park's lake lies amid hardwood forests, pine stands and rocky ridges. Shady groves of trees shelter picnic grounds and a pavilion overlooking the lake. Wooded campgrounds are quiet and secluded, offering facilities for group campers, as well as tent and trailer sites. The sandy beach, nature, hiking and cross-country ski trails, opportunities for boating, fishing and ice fishing, and proximity to the Saratoga Spring and Lake George areas make the park attractive to visitors. A wooden pavilion with a 120-person capacity and three canvas tents, which can accommodate from 35-50 people may be reserved on a daily basis. In the Summer, beach lounges, beach umbrella and fishing gear can be rented. In the Winter, snowshoes are available for rent daily.

Military Funeral Honors
The Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery has an Honor Guard Association, which consists of six squads of 12-18 volunteers each. The principal duty of the Honor Guard is to ensure that every veteran receives a proper military burial service. This service is available at no charge to all eligible veterans.

Saratoga National Historical Park, Routes 4 and 32, in Stillwater offers a variety of scenic views including one overlooking the Hudson River Valley and another that overlooks three states.

The 155-foot Saratoga Monument, off Route 29, in Schuylerville has 187 steps to the top and offers beautiful panoramic views of a view of Albany’s skyline, the Adirondack and Catskill mountains and three states.

The Giving Circle

When Katrina devastated Louisiana and Mississippi, the Saratogian group calling themselves The Giving Circle went into action; they adopted a tiny gulf port town, called Waveland, MS...Waveland was wiped out and little by little this group is helping to rebuild...Saratoga, NY has since adopted Waveland, MS as one of their sister cities.
 
The Giving Circle has put on several events to raise awareness and donations for Waveland, MS ...and continue to do so..  I have volunteered for them..and will continue to do so...just on a smaller scale...they are wonderful people doing a wonderful job...

About The Jewelry The materials used are sterling silver and 14K gold. "Shoot for the moon" and "More precious" have a bezel set carved moonstone face, "Once in a blue moon" has a color-enhanced, carved moonstone face. Each piece is hand fabricated, signed and dated, then is gift boxed with the poem as an enclosure card. They all come with a sterling adapter so they can also be worn as pendants.
