The Women’s Health & Fitness Expo 2008

For the past seven years, the Women’s Health and Fitness Foundation has been dedicated to providing our community with educational programs and events that focus on health, fitness and nutrition.
Poor eating habits and physical inactivity plague our nation’s families, and with 60% of American women above their ideal weight, the risk of premature death from heart disease and diabetes is skyrocketing. Experts have long recognized that women are the gatekeepers to family health. The goal of the Women’s Health and Fitness Foundation is to decrease the risk of preventable diseases by providing women in our community with tools that help them positively impact family health habits.
Year after year, women all over our region have demonstrated how important these issues are to them by attending the Foundation’s annual Women’s Health and Fitness Expo, an event that brings medical professionals together with over 100 workshops, vendors and demonstrations targeting health and wellness. This successful one-day expo has grown to include activities for men and children, and we are dedicated to continue expanding its scope in 2008.
Plans are already underway for the 8th Annual Women’s Health and Fitness Expo to be held on May 3, 2008. Once again, we will bring notable speakers and a wide variety of booths, workshops, lectures and demonstrations to thousands of women. We need your support to help us continue our mission to build a healthier community and reduce the risk of preventable disease.
Our ability to positively impact the health of women and their families depends on your generosity. Tax-deductible contributions will enable us to grow our online support network for women; expand our premier event, the annual Women’s Health and Fitness Expo; and continue to provide programs that focus on disease prevention, nutrition, fitness and overall health.
