Mountain Ski Area is located in the Catskills about 90 minutes from New
York City. With 15 slopes and trails, seven lifts, a 400-foot vertical
drop, 100 percent snowmaking and night skiing, Holiday has something
for everyone. Snowboarders are welcome and rental equipment is
available at the base lodge.

marks the beginning of our 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The 2008-09 season will be filled with parties, competitions, contests
and more. Mountain in the Catskills calls itself the snowmaking
capital of the world. 100 percent of Hunter's 53 trails have
snowmaking, and all 240 acres of the ski area can be covered by 1,100
snow guns. Even if winter doesn't cooperate, Hunter Mountain is a great
place for skiing.

- Welcome to Mount Peter! Located in Orange County, New
York, in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Mount Peter is known for our
free beginner ski and snowboard lessons, (with the purchase of a lift
ticket) family atmosphere, and great events. Known as “The Friendly
One,” Mount Peter offers advanced group and private lessons, race
programs, learn to ski and snowboard programs, women’s programs, and
programs just for kids. We offer a cozy lodge and tavern, cafeteria,
outside pavilion and grill, full rental shop, retail shop, and a tuning
shop. And don’t worry if it’s not snowing, we make our own snow! Mount
Peter also offers great group rates and season passes! Take a day – or

- We provide a complete ski and snowboard center with
rentals, instructions, snowmaking and more. This recreation facility is
located in the Catskill Mountain range near Woodstock and Kingston New
York and is designed specifically for snowboarders, beginner skiers and
snow tubers. Our ski shop is fully equipped to suit your snowboarding,
skiing and tubing needs and our ski and snowboard instructors are ready
to help you learn. Our terrain park is undergoing major improvements to
keep the freestyle boarders, skiers, and ski boarders challenged. Our
snow making facility maintains snow on the slopes from December to
March.

Mountain is that it's filled with moments of pure exhilaration for
skiers and boarders of every level. Just starting out? Wooly Bear is
the perfect slope for practicing your stops and turns. Intermediates
looking for an adrenaline rush can check out Lower Wolverine or Upper
Wiseacres. And experts out for a sick run should definitely hit Upper
Wheelchair. The northern Catskill Mountain area boasts a
3,100-foot summit, 39 trails covering 242 acres for skiing and
snowboarding, and a snow tubing area.

resort, which was shut down during the 2005-06 season, was purchased by
a local resident, Glenn Godsey. According to The Journal News, Godsey
is hoping to open the 250-acre resort with the first snowfall this
season. Sterling Forest has 4 double chairs, a vertical of 400 feet and
is located one hour from Manhattan.
