Voting is something than everybody is supposed to enjoy as a right of being a citizen.  The reality is that many of those who can vote typically do not, and those who want to vote are very often prevented from doing so.  Now we have Covid which is really just an excuse to continue the known trends just stated.  To add icing to this delicious Constitutional Cake, everybody is constantly defending or attacking mail-in voting despite that system being in place for decades.

Ever since the hanging chad incident that got the first Bush elected, the voting systems have been in dire need of modernization.  Numerous online systems have been spun up and then disastrously failed.  Nobody trusts them, nobody likes the old system, and nobody appears to have a clue on how to move forward.

From this pit of despair, SIMPLE Voting provides a bridge back to the rights originally envisioned by our founding fathers.  SIMPLE Voting starts by enabling any person to register to vote at any time they want and then use that ability when they feel the time is right – without long lines, duplicate identification efforts, and without missing work.  SIMPLE Voting empowers voting offices to be just another part of an identification system – from DMV offices to State Identity locations.  Within these centers, a potential voter can provide personal authentication, register with their fingerprint, and then be able to use that verification at any time down the road – no paperwork required.

SIMPLE Voting then provides a sophisticated Voting Profile that can be delivered into an end user device and used from any location.  A Voting Profile encapsulates the voting expertise, questions, and data to be used by a voter and it is completely protected from outside interference.  When the Voting Profile is launched, it literally takes over a device and prevents anything else from interfering with its presentation or with input into it.  The assumption is that the device is a bad actor and localized, embedded, intelligence protects the Voting Profile with the latest countermeasures at all times.

Along the lines of visualization, a SIMPLE Voting profile can contain any level of presentation desired by the people running a given vote.  To this end, visualizations of issues can be provided for multilingual voters, embedded last minute pitches by the candidates can be conveyed, and voting can move beyond the simple text-based systems used today.  Once the voter uses their fingerprint to authenticate, that voter can then vote on the issues.

Once a voter completes their voting process, the Voting Profile leverages quantum resilient encryption, as well as SIMPLE Blockchain, to securely deliver that voter’s information to a voting center.  The encrypted fingerprint is again verified, the blockchain updated with the voter’s results, and the entire Voter Profile and line of communication are irrevocably destroyed.  The complete audit of from where a vote originated, timestamp, geographic tag, and even device information are stored alongside the voter’s results.  Nobody is then able to tamper with the vote and nobody is able to corrupt the votes in transit.

This same process is repeated as votes are collected up the chain, if a cloud deployment is not used, ensuring voter integrity along the way.  The SIMPLE Blockchain ensures protection against tampering while still enabling remote voting and no more discrimination, long lines, or corrupt policies.
